My photography book, Quiet Coastlines, is now available to preorder. This book has been years in the making - not just in the time spent putting it together, but in the photographs themselves. It brings together around 15 years of my seascape photography. Years spent exploring the coast, chasing light, experimenting with my photography and learning to see the ocean in different ways. Over that time, the sea has become much more than a subject for my camera. It's shaped how I see the world, how I slow down and notice things, and how I approach my photography. Three photographs, three very different stories, and one very special shortlist. I’m incredibly proud to have three images shortlisted for the British Photography Awards this year - and with the People’s Choice Award voting closing on 15 October and the winners announced at the gala on 1 November, there’s still a little anticipation to come. I’ll be there to celebrate photography, the incredible photographers alongside me, and whatever the evening brings.

Imposter syndrome can make us believe that everyone else is better, more successful and further ahead. As a photographer, I’ve spent years comparing my journey to others - until I realised that their path is not mine. There is no single route to success, creativity or photography. We each have our own unique way of seeing, creating and moving through the world. This is a reflection on comparison, confidence, finding your own path and learning to see yourself not as an imposter, but as someone creating a new route of their own.

After a year of planning, I joined forces once again with Angela Nicholson, founder of SheClicks, to lead our second collaborative photography workshop - this time taking 12 incredible women deep into the wilds of Iceland.

Over seven unforgettable days in February, we explored epic winter landscapes - from roaring frozen waterfalls and vast glaciers to crystal-blue ice caves and dramatic black sand beaches. Beginning in Reykjavík, the journey quickly unfolded into moments of awe, creativity, and connection - including witnessing the Northern Lights not once, but twice.

More than a photography workshop, this experience was about community, confidence, and creative growth. Women from around the world came together, supporting one another, sharing ideas, and forming friendships that extended far beyond the camera.

Because these trips are never just about the photos - they’re about shared moments, meaningful connections, and coming home with full memory cards and even fuller hearts. ✨

2025 was a breakthrough year for my photography career. From winning Landscape Photo of the Year with the Guild of Photographers to speaking at major photography events and leading workshops in the UK and Madeira, this year was filled with growth, travel, and creative community. As a photographer first and foremost, my workflow has always revolved around Adobe Lightroom. But in recent months, I’ve started exploring video as well - mainly using DaVinci Resolve - and one plugin that keeps coming up in both worlds is Dehancer.

Well, not gone exactly - my Instagram still exists, but I can’t access it. No reason, no explanation, no warning. Just like that, I was shut out of the place where I had been sharing my photography, my projects, and my voice with the world for more than a decade.

The shock of it all left me frustrated and heartbroken. But it also left me with a question I couldn’t stop thinking about: Is social media really as important as we think it is?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of creating something more than just a photography trip. I wanted to build a space where women could come together, pick up their cameras, and feel completely free: free to learn, explore, connect, and just be. Read more about this trip here!

Creativity, for me, has always been a dance—an ebb and flow between light, feeling, and trust. Photography isn't just about capturing what I see, but how I feel in a moment. Over time, I found myself gravitating toward a handful of consistent editing styles—ones that felt like second nature. These became the foundation of my new Lightroom preset collection: Ebb & Flow.

I’ve been running workshops for several years now, and as I’ve gradually expanded into supporting female photographers as well as mixed groups, I just thought it would be a good time to delve into all of this a little deeper, ensuring that you know exactly what to expect when booking a session, along with a clear understanding of what you are paying for. This clarity will help enhance your experience and allow us to make the most of our time together. Whatever kind of session, we can come up with something to suit you and get the most of your time spent out with the camera, learning while having fun!

Usually my editing is pretty basic, taking less than 2 mins to finish an image. The majority of the time I keep this to a minimum as the best part for me is being out taking the photographs, but, the final step in crafting a photograph is editing. Its how I personally get to complete the process of showing the viewer what I saw and how I felt in that moment. There’s no hard and fast rules when it comes to editing - its all part of the artistic process and something that can be very personal to you. But there’s no denying it; its those finishing touches preparing the image for how you want to share it with the viewer that complete the process. Some people add a preset they have bought off someone else or just shoot in Jpeg and don’t edit at all. There’s all ends of the spectrum, but for me it's more than just tweaking brightness or adding a filter or a preset - editing in Lightroom is where you get to transform your vision into reality. You've already poured emotion into your shot, and now it's time to fine-tune those details to ensure your audience sees what you saw, and feels what you felt. But to get there, you need the right tools and techniques. My process is a fairly simple one, so have a read and an insight into a pretty basic guide to make sure you get the most out of Lightroom when editing your photos.
