Hello & Welcome

I’m Emily - an award-winning outdoor freelance photographer from the UK, capturing soulful imagery inspired by wild places, shifting light, and life lived outdoors. An ocean addict and nature enthusiast at heart, I’m best known for my emotive land and seascapes and my deep connection to the natural world.

Since 2022, I’ve been travelling with my photography work, teaching, and creating while chasing light across coastlines, mountains, and remote landscapes. I help brands tell aspirational but believable lifestyle stories that feel real and human - my clients range from unique stays, tourism boards, adventure gear to everything inbetween. Along the way, I’ve built a passion for education - running immersive photography workshops for mixed genders, alongside empowering, female-focused tours designed to create space for confidence, creativity, and community behind the camera.

Beyond workshops, I offer 1:1 editing sessions and carefully crafted presets for photographers who want to refine their style, improve their workflow, and develop a more intentional approach to editing. Whether you’re just beginning or looking to elevate your work, my aim is to help you create images that feel true to you.

I also speak at photography and outdoor events across the UK and collaborate with leading creative and outdoor brands, producing authentic lifestyle content rooted in storytelling and connection.

Whether waist-deep in the sea or teaching in the mountains, my mission remains the same: to connect people, to each other and to nature, through photography.

“Photography has never just been a hobby or a job - it’s a way of being, a lifestyle. It’s an honour to capture the world as I see it, and it truly feels like my life’s calling.”

Welcome to my website - this is where you’ll find my personal work, commercial campaigns, blogs, upcoming workshops and tours, editing resources, and much more.

You can also find me over on Instagram and YouTube, where I share behind-the-scenes and a deeper insight into what I do.

Beginners Guide to Photography

A practical, confidence-building guide to getting started, understanding your camera, and enjoying the creative journey

Picking up a camera for the first time is exciting - but it can also feel overwhelming.

Questions tend to come thick and fast. What camera do I need? What should I photograph? What settings should I use? Where do I even begin?

My Beginners Guide to Photography is a calm, encouraging guide designed to help you feel comfortable heading out with your camera, confident in your choices, and relaxed enough to let your creativity flow. Whether you’re using a phone, a compact camera, or your first DSLR or mirrorless setup, this ebook focuses on the foundations that truly matter - without heavy jargon or complicated theory.

Written by a photographer who runs group workshops and one-to-one sessions, this book is built around real conversations with beginners. It’s not just about learning how a camera works, but about building confidence, developing your eye, and learning to enjoy photography as a creative practice.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build confidence with your camera and stop second-guessing yourself

  • Understand light and simple technical foundations

  • Get to know your camera without feeling overwhelmed

  • Train your eye and learn to truly see

  • Let go of pressure, comparison, and perfection

  • Develop a sustainable, enjoyable photography practice

Through 16 thoughtfully written chapters, this ebook guides you from your very first steps all the way to finding your own style and understanding what comes next. The focus is always on curiosity over perfection, progress over pressure, and enjoyment over rules.

This is not a book about chasing likes, owning expensive gear, or getting everything right straight away. It’s about slowing down, noticing the world around you, and finding joy in the process of creating photographs that feel meaningful to you.

If you’ve ever gone out with your camera and lost track of time - or if you want to experience more moments like that - this book is for you.

You don’t need to know everything to start.
You just need to start.
