Where: Lofoten Islands, Norway
Join award-winning photographer Emily Endean and Angela Nicholson, founder of the SheClicks community, for an unforgettable women-only winter photography workshop in Norway. Set in the spectacular Lofoten Islands, this immersive experience blends expert photography tuition with exploration, creativity and connection in one of the most dramatic landscapes on Earth.
This Norway photography retreat is designed to help you grow in confidence behind the camera while experiencing the magic of the Arctic alongside a supportive group of like-minded women.
Photography in the Lofoten Islands
Over eight inspiring days, we’ll explore the breathtaking scenery of the Lofoten Islands, where jagged mountains rise straight from the sea and colourful fishing villages sit along deep fjords. From sweeping white-sand beaches and rugged coastlines to traditional rorbuer cabins and picturesque harbours, every day offers new photographic opportunities.
November is a magical time to visit. Soft Arctic light, long twilight hours and dramatic skies create perfect conditions for landscape photography. With a little luck, we’ll also have the chance to photograph the Northern Lights dancing above snow-dusted peaks and reflective fjords.
Throughout the workshop, Emily and Angela will be on hand to offer guidance, creative support and practical tips to help you develop your own photographic style - whether you’re just starting out or refining an established practice.
This is more than a photography workshop. It’s about slowing down, exploring extraordinary places, and sharing meaningful experiences with women who share your passion for photography.

Meet Your Hosts
Angela Nicholson – Founder of SheClicks
Founder of SheClicks, camera reviewer, cake connoisseur and enthusiastic encourager of muddy knees in pursuit of the perfect shot.
Angela is the driving force behind SheClicks, a thriving community of over 15,000 female photographers. With a background writing for Amateur Photographer, Digital Camera and PhotoPlus, she knows photographic kit inside out - but this workshop is all about you and your photography.
Co-leading alongside Emily, Angela will be on hand with encouragement, practical advice and the occasional nudge towards a stream if the reflection is just right. Her passion lies in helping women build confidence with their cameras, explore creativity and let go of the idea that photography has to be done a certain way.
If you’re unsure about your settings, debating which lens to use, or wondering whether kneeling in icy water is worth it — Angela’s here to help. (And yes, it probably is.)
Emily Endean - Photographer & Workshop Leader
Photographer, storyteller, wave-chaser and enthusiastic lover of early morning light.
Emily is an award-winning landscape and seascape photographer, former Fujifilm X Photographer (Ambassador), and an experienced workshop leader known for her relaxed, supportive teaching style. Her work is rooted in atmosphere, emotion and connection to place - and she has a gift for helping others see beyond the obvious.
Emily’s photography journey led her from a full-time career into life on the road, chasing light and stories across wild landscapes. She’s been published in Amateur Photographer, Outdoor Photography and Digital Camera, with awards from the British Photography Awards, Landscape Photographer of the Year and more.
On this trip, Emily will encourage you to experiment, slow down, embrace the weather and push your creativity - especially if there’s good light (and coffee) involved.
If you’re cold, slightly damp, and smiling because you got the shot - you’re doing it right.
