The BenQ LaptopBar

Almost everyone has a light on their desk, but the BenQ ScreenBars take that concept and offer something even better. Back in the house, I had the PC monitor screenbar and moving into the van this just wasn’t something I could take with me. Working permanently on the laptop and having limited space, things needed to be reconsidered. So when Benq got in touch and told me about a LaptopBar being designed and asked if I wanted to test one out in exchange for a review, hell yes I did!

First things first - Unboxing & setup Experience -

I was impressed immediately by all the eco-friendly packaging. This product is packaged entirely in paper, minimizing environmental pollution. So refreshing to see absolutely nothing going to landfill here!

When it came to set up, I can honestly say this was super easy and I didn’t need to consult the instruction manual once. It all hooks up wirelessly with a magnetic attachment. The LaptopBar has a foldable arm offers height adjustability and allow it to expand or fold as needed. It features a main light and ambient light, ensuring that the working area is fully illuminated and reducing the contrast between the bright laptop screen and the dim environment. You can even adjust the brightness with a swipe of a finger! It all feels so effortless and was set up and being used within literally a few minutes!

Why do people need a laptop light, and how can the LaptopBar help you might ask?

Well, if you are working on a laptop and don’t have space for a laptop light or a desk lamp, or just don’t want the extra bits on your desk, then this is for you!

My Conclusion and Overall Review on the LaptopBar -

This really does feel like such a great product, makes me wonder why no one thought of it sooner. Exactly what I needed in the van with no space for a desk lamp! The wireless, effortless set up, complete with the magnetic mounting system for added convenience makes it all so easy to pop on and off the laptop. With its sleek design and even lighting capabilities, this is a dream to use. Also unlike the previous screenbar I had, no more fussing with tangled cords or complicated setups - simply attach it with the magnetic mount and tap to turn on. This is USB chargable, with is also very convenient and simple to attach while in use!

So, if like me you need a lamp while working on your laptop, then the Benq LaptopBar may be the solution for you too!
