So we're in June, already!! However, May was quite a quietish month but none the less an exciting one, as this is what I got up to......
Two Metre Movement
The project has continued and has been overwhelmingly popular but I'm now bringing it to a close after a fantastic 7 weeks of meeting my community (from afar of course!). I'm currently still taking some local requests, but despite the lift on travel restriction, my plan is to keep this local as that was always my intentions for the project.
I was approached by BBC Radio Solent to interview on 25th May (Bank Holiday Monday) with Lucy Ambash chatting about the project. Also I had a zoom interview with the BBC and check out the short video!!
Don't forget you can view the complete gallery of the Two Metre Movement project via my website blog here.
My macro work has been thoroughly enjoyable. Not only just my photography but my wife has also found a love for macro photography and has taken to it so well that there are a few shots i wish were mine! For example, this little guy here!
As lockdown started to ease it's meant we can have unlimited exercise and can drive anywhere we like to do so, meaning I can get back in nature and visit all my favourite places. My first visits.............St Huberts in Hampshire, the Jurassic coast and Corfe Castle. Here are three of my first trips out:
Short & Sweet
Other than that, I've been out on the bike alot and still working from home. Life in lockdown is good, it's forced me to slow down, no rushing around getting ready to get to the office in the mornings, trying to get through everything i have to do. The pace of life is good and its some thing I want to take forward in my life. I think there are positives in this weird situation we all find ourselves in. I'm happy to be home with my wife and animals, getting to spend more quality time with them.
Brings me to my fav shot and quote of the month, this one feels very fitting:
"It's not the situation, but whether we react negative or respond positive to the situation that is important" - Zig Ziglar (Motivational speaker)
So that's all from me this month, enjoy the rest of June and we'll catch up soon.
Stay well and keep safe.
